Shipped fully assembled and ready for immediate use, it features a durable HDPE plastic liner and sturdy stainless steel bands for long-lasting performance. The tub holds 150 gallons (570 liters) of water, providing ample space for an immersive and refreshing cold plunge experience.

Whether you're new to cold therapy or a seasoned enthusiast, you’re likely more interested in the health benefits of cold exposure than the effort of constantly adding ice. Let’s be honest—maintaining an ice bath with bags of ice can become a hassle. Our chiller takes the effort out of keeping your water cold, making it easy for you to maintain a consistent and frequent cold plunge routine. Say goodbye to ice runs and turn your setup into an effortless iceless bath!
This powerful chiller can cool water into the low 40°F range, and under optimal conditions, even reach the high 30s°F. External factors like ambient temperature and sun exposure are the primary contributors to heat in a cold therapy tub (your body heat has a negligible effect). Reducing external heat sources, such as sun exposure, will enhance the chiller’s performance. Even in full sun or less-than-ideal conditions, most tubs of around 100 gallons can maintain a water temperature in the low to mid-40s°F. The chiller can be used both indoors and outdoors but should not be operated in freezing conditions.
Energy Efficiency: At a rate of $0.12 per kWh, the estimated monthly cost of operation is between $18 and $28. The compressor and fan only turn on when needed, and once the water reaches your desired temperature, they shut off. Only the low-wattage pump runs continuously to maintain the temperature.
Why Keep the Water Cold Continuously: We’re often asked if it’s possible to run the chiller on a timer, but we recommend keeping the water cold at all times for a few reasons:
- Bacteria Control: Cold water inhibits bacterial growth, reducing slime buildup and making water maintenance easier. This also means less frequent water changes and lower levels of sanitizer (chlorine, hydrogen peroxide) to keep the water clean.
- Minimal Energy Savings: Shutting off the chiller temporarily may save only $3-$5 per month, but you’ll likely need to change the water and filter more frequently, which offsets the savings.
- Pump Longevity: Pumps experience the most wear and tear during startup. Cycling the chiller on and off adds unnecessary stress to the pump, potentially shortening its lifespan.
Important Setup Information: Your setup needs to be gravity-primed, as the pump is not capable of self-priming or suction. Place the chiller within 3 feet of the tub’s drain, ensuring that the bottom of the chiller is at or below the height of the tub. Avoid placing the chiller higher than the tub, as this may cause inadequate water flow and affect the pump’s performance.
